My name is Mary Nyongesa, born in 1969 in Western part of Kenya, Kakamega North district, Kabras division, East Kabras location, Kakunga sub-location, Mukangu area. I was born in a poor family of 5 boys and 4 girls who believe in African customs. I was brought up in one of the indigenous African churches who worship God through the founder of the fellowship. It was hard for me to understand how to worship the true God. My parents did not meet my needs as concerns feeding, clothing and education. This forced me to stop my secondary education when I reached Form Two.
In 1991 I got married to a Christian husband who also was born in a poor family. It was hard for my first time in my early marriage to stay for one or two days without any food to eat but since I loved my husband I persevered in all situations and continued trusting God.
In 1997 I fell seriously sick for I started reflecting satanic power. I could
not sleep at night because I dreamt that some people were coming to kill me. I
screamed loudly and woke up but a lot of fear appeared in me. At night I could
not turn out the light because the moment I did so, I heard someone knocking on
the door and at the same time on the window and dropping stones in my house. By
the time I would go to the door I wouldn’t see anybody. The situation day by day
grew worse until I called in servants of God to share with me the word of God.
The book of Matthew 11:28 was read and I found that I had a burden for I needed
someone to give me rest. For sure I repented my sins and confess with my lips
that Jesus is my personal saviour. From this time Jesus set me free and all the
nights up to now nothing has been experienced like satanic power. Now I realized
that God was calling me for His ministry to preach the gospel to the lost
people, start and plant new churches.
I am blessed with four children; one boy and three girls. Now I find it hard to preach the gospel and at the same time to feed, cloth and educate my family. My husband is jobless for he cannot support our family. I am a talented woman doing some business that can support us with a little daily bread but it is not enough for the family and other visitors.
I am working with the children’s department of God’s ministry in our church. I have a vision for preparing the children and youth to stand for the future church. I do care for their needs as concerns parental care in feeding, clothing, education and health care. On 25/12/2005 I received apostle ministry through the power of the Holy Spirit. God sent me to the market of Shianda and after preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ, many people got saved and I started a preaching point that has 50 children, 20 youth and 5 adults. Now I found it difficult to travel to and fro because it takes me 4 hours footing to reaching the preaching point. It is risky for a woman to walk late hours and also the time I come back home I find myself very tired for I can’t even cook for myself. Even though it is hard for me to walk on foot to the preaching point, I am ready to fulfill the great commission of Jesus Christ. I am calling upon those willing to stand with me in prayer for this new preaching point to have money to enable the purchase of a church plot and build the house for prayer, that they may do so and they are free to write to me through the given e-mail address. I am ready to continue carrying on the great commission for Jesus Christ starting with my area and then all over Kenya and to neighbouring countries like Uganda, Tanzania and others, as the Holy Spirit will lead me. I do welcome volunteers, donors, well-wishers, bishops, apostles, pastors, women groups, Christians, friends and all who are willing to join or support me with financial aid in this ministry of apostles and they are free to do so through writing to me using the email address: chobefrulaminisries@yahoo.com
I remain for Christ and working in me because he is my saviour and He gives me
great protection
Yours faithfully,
Servant of God
Apostle Mary Nyongesa
